Work Beyond
the Walls.

MY MISSION

For me, the work doesn’t end when the paint dries.

It continues in the relationships, the shared stories, and the connections that grow through the process.

Through collaboration with educators, artists, and community leaders, I use art to support and empower marginalized and court-involved youth — creating opportunities for growth, skill-building, and belonging.

Because art can do more than transform a space. It can help transform what feels possible.

MEET CATHERINE

I am a Midwest mixed media artist, designer, and educator working beyond the walls — exploring and creating for what connects us.

I stand at the bottom and long for the summit. I reach the summit and feel my own smallness. The wildness of the landscape and the quieting of the soul remind me that even the rocks carry joy and longing.

Art almost always points to something larger than itself. While I think big — across buildings, campuses, and communities — I also look for beauty in small and overlooked spaces. There is something sacred about painting in dusty corners, about bringing color and intention where it is least expected.

From the pages of a sketchbook to the side of a building, visual stories weave through our lives. They invite fellowship. They create connection. They help us become a stronger, more compassionate community for one another.

Let’s work together.

Art lives beyond the walls — and I look forward to exploring what we can create together. Each project begins with a conversation — about the space, the people who move through it, and what the artwork is meant to accomplish.
